Tailor Your Sound with Dual-Tuning Modes: Softears Volume S packs two sounds in a single package. The pair has dual-tuning modes suitable for Classical and POP music. These modes are easily switchable using the Japanese copal mode switch on the face covers. Sifter’s engineers have developed a key concept Bus Impedance. Both modes have different impedance values which effects the sound output of the pair. By integrating this new concept, the pair achieves seamless switching between both the modes. The POP mode follows the standard HRTF room acoustic system curve which is perfect for Pop music. The other mode produces a comfortable and natural listening experience; this mode is perfect for classical music. Softears Volume S comes with a tool to rotate the switch into both the modes.
Perfect Bass with Dynamic+Passive Dynamic Driver Combination: Softears VolumeS uses a combination of both active and passive dynamic drivers. The pair houses a 10mm silicone diaphragm active dynamic driver. It also houses a 6mm wool diaphragm passive dynamic driver. The passive driver is inverted and placed at the dome position of the active dynamic driver unit. This design ensures a strong and powerful lower-end response adding a richness to the overall sound of the Volume S.
Self-Developed Special Diaphragm ED Series Balanced Armature Drivers: Softears Volume S uses self-developed full-range balanced armature driver. It is a composite dual-BA driver combining the classic ED and WBFK BA drivers. This composite unit works as a full-frequency unit and ensures enriching performance across the frequency band.
Precisely Crafted Acoustic Duct Structure: Softears Volume S adopts a precisely designed acoustic tube structure. The goal of this structure is to maintain the rich and smooth sound using duct tubes. Qualified engineers have designed the low-latency duct structure with shortest possible length and minimized bending angles. This helps the Volume S to maintain proper phase consistency across the frequency band.
Flagship-Level RC Tuning Network Electronic Crossover: From the flagship Softears RS10, the brand implements the highly precise RC tuning network technology in a three-way frequency crossover for the Softears Volume S. With high adaptability and ultra-low loss, the RC Tuning Network provides a powerful and fuller sound response. The pair adopts 8 precisely tuned crossover components to filter frequencies and control their range. Strip Pressure Relief Technology: Softears has designed the Volume S with a physical rear-chamber pressure release structure. Outstanding Design, Proper Comfort: Softears has designed the ear shells of Volume S using professional 3D printing brand HeyGears.
